This board meets regularly, once a month, July and August excepted, usually on
the 4th Monday of the month, in the church lounge.
The spiritual life of the congregation is the core work of the Diaconate.
This involves ushering, serving communion and other aspects of the worship
services. Additionally, the Diaconate is responsible for adult education,
Bible study and related activities, visitation, evangelistic outreach to the
community, coffee hour and new member classes. This board works closely with
both the Pastor and the Director of Music.
This board is optimally comprised of 12 members. Members are elected to a 2
year term and may serve two terms. The chairperson of the Diaconate is a member
of the Executive Council.
